Baseline medicals is owned and managed by Kim Kavanagh a registered Nurse specialising in Occupational Health. Kim started her Nursing career in the UK providing high risk community care before moving to New Zealand where she spent eight years as a level 4 (expert) emergency Nurse.
After leaving the emergency department shift work behind her, Kim fell in love with occupational health while working as a nurse contractor and has spent the past seven years in a variety of Occupational health nursing roles including infrastructure, construction, forestry, telecommunications, paint and steel works and corporate workplace wellbeing.
Kim has studied at post graduate level for advanced Nursing practice and most recently achieved her post graduate diploma in Occupational health at Otago university where she received an academic excellence award and graduated with distinction.
Kim prides herself on her down to earth, professional manner and enjoys working within a variety of industries to not only provide excellent occupational health services but supporting and advising Health and safety teams in achieving their occupational health requirements under HASWA.
Kim is an active member of the NZOHNA - New Zealand Occupational Health Nurse Association.
